Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to take your order and stay in touch — your name, contact details, and order information. Your card is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics, and we never sell your information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Oggi Ristorante Italiano (“Oggi,” “we,” “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Order & contact details you give us — your name, email, phone number, and order information (items, pickup time, and any notes).
Messages you send us — through the contact, catering, or careers forms, including anything you include in them (a résumé, for example).
Anonymous usage data — which pages, menu sections and buttons are used, your device type and an approximate city. Never anything you type, and never linked to your name or order. See section 7.
Payment information — handled directly by our payment processor. See section 3.

2. How we use your information

To take, prepare, and fulfill your orders and send confirmations and receipts.
To respond to your messages and provide support.
To send you news or offers only if you’ve opted in — you can unsubscribe anytime.
To keep the site working, secure, and improve it.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

3. Payments & your card

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are entered into a secure field hosted by Stripe and sent directly to Stripe — we never receive your full card number or security code, and we never store any card data. The only card details we handle are your card’s brand and last four digits, which Stripe shows the restaurant so a payment can be matched to your order (for example, “Visa ending 4242”). Stripe handles your card data under its own Privacy Policy.

4. How we share information

With service providers who help us operate — for example, Stripe (payments), our email provider (to send order confirmations and, if you opt in, campaigns) and Google (website and advertising measurement — see section 7). They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep order and contact records for as long as needed to run the restaurant, provide support, and satisfy legal and accounting requirements — then we delete or anonymize them.

6. Your choices & rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, which we honor. Contact us to make a request.

7. Cookies & analytics

We measure how the site is used so we can make it better: which pages and menu sections are viewed, which buttons are tapped, roughly which city a visit comes from, and whether it is a first or a return visit. We never record anything you type, and none of this is linked to your name, your contact details or your order.

We also use the Google tag (Google Analytics and Google Ads) to count visits and to measure whether our Google advertising brings people to the site. It sets cookies and receives your device details and network (IP) address. Personalised-advertising features are switched off, and it does not run on our ordering or order-confirmation pages. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out add-on; see Google’s privacy policy.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, neither of these runs for you. Your browser’s local storage is used to keep items in your cart and to remember that you have visited before — that stays on your device.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, hosting on secured infrastructure, and a PCI-compliant payment processor — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

9. Children’s privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
